Forgiato’s dealer in Japan has just finished customizing this beautiful Maserati GranCabrio with a set of F2.01-B rims from the wheel maker’s Exotic series. The drop-top Italian looks a lot more appealing now that wheels are finally big enough to fill its substantial fenders.

For this Maserati GranCabrio the tuners chose a custom smoke satin black finish with silver outer lips which make a nice contrast with the black exterior. This car also features a light brown soft top which with matching leather interior. The combination of these contrasting colors result in a pretty sexy looking car.

Maserati GranCabrio is powered by a 4.7 liter V8 engine developing in the latest Sport version 460 horsepower and520 Nm of torque. Mated to an automatic six-speed ZF transmission with MC Auto Shift, that engine enables the car to reach 100 km/h in just 5.0 seconds and a top speed of 285 km/h.

The Maser is most famous for its plush ride and the ability to cover great distances at incredible ease. But it’s not really a sports car due to its size, the fact that it’s a four-seater, and of course that suspension. Fitting the car with bigger wheels does affect the handling a bit, especially in the Sport version with has stiffer chassis and suspension.
