Hyundai brought along to this year’s SEMA show a rich lineup of nicely modified custom cars, but this year there was only one Genesis Coupe in the mix and no Veloster. At this SEMA show they decided to focus on their new sedan models.
The new Hyundai Genesis has received special attention, getting unique custom jobs from ARK and Toca. The ARK AR550 Genesis is a luxurious yet powerful sedan poised to take on Mercedes AMG and BMW M models. It features a modest body kit and a supercharged engine. The Toca Signature Hyundai Genesis is a bit more on the sporty side, boasting a 600-hp V8 engine and a stealthy paint job, sport exhaust, and Rockford audio system.
As for the other new Hyundai sedan, the Sonata, the car gets two kits from Bisimoto and John Pangilinan. The Bisimoto Sonata is designed for the track, packing a 2.4 liter engine tuned to a massive 708 horsepower and a full racing outfit. And it’s still front-wheel-drive. The JP Edition Sonata is more civilized, but still pretty beefy, what with an AEM cold air intake, a MagnaFlow exhaust kit and a hot charge pipe from Bisimoto engineering.
As for the sole Genesis Coupe brought to 2014 SEMA by Hyundai, it is tuned by Blood Type Racing with huge turbos, a custom intake, intercooler, full exhaust kit and nitrous injection to make a colossal 1,000 hp. It also features a wide body kit with racing wings and custom suspension.
