Mercedes-Benz Facebook page recently passed the remarkable milestone of 17,000,000 likes. To mark the event, and as a sort of ‘thank you’ to the fans, a team of Mercedes designers were employed to draw an AMG GT on a wall… with tape!
Now, this wasn’t just a pointless waste of the designers’ time. It was, in fact, a good exercise, since tape drawing is actually a formal stage of car design. They implement the initial design in full scale in tape to get a rough idea of what it is going to look like, before making a full-size clay model.
This AMG GT was, of course, was just for show, so they added a little bit of extra flair. It looks pretty amazing:
