The first of Los Angeles Auto Show’s big debuts to leak out early is the 2016 Cadillac ATS-V Coupe. It is not that big a deal, of course, as we have already seen this car in undisguised spy photos, and, well, it’s a V version of the 2-door ATS. How different could it be anyway!
In fairness though, Cadillac ATS-V Coupe does come with enough ‘exclusive’ details to be distinguishable from its normal, non-V siblings. The front-end, for instance, has an awesome look thanks to a sculpted and vented bonnet, sports grille with mesh inserts, and large intakes. The rear-end meanwhile does its best to showcase the sporting credentials of the car with a prominent boot lid spoiler and four integrated tailpipes.
The business-like interior of the ATS has been given a more sporty feel in the V model with a unique steering wheel, various bits of carbon fiber trims, and exclusive badging and sill plates. But don’t expect any major surprises here.
Technical details of Cadillac ATS-V Coupe are still under wraps, but inside reports suggest the car is powered by a beefed-up version of Caddy’s 3.6 liter twin-turbo engine with 450 horsepower; enough to make the ATS at least a nuisance for the BMW M4.
