A year or so ago BMW launched a new division called M Performance Parts whose goal was to provide ordinary, non-M models with sports parts and accessories, a sort of in-house tuning shop, as it were. It proved so popular they have now decided to expand lineup and include more models.
We have already seen examples of the X4 and the new M4 fully kitted out with BMW M Performance Parts from dealers, but now the company has officially announced the launch of these models, along with the X3 and M3 sedan, at the Essen Motor Show.
Each set of M Performance Parts is, of course, tailored for the model it is designed for. But in general, the package includes exterior parts such as front spoiler, sport grilles, side skirts, boot lid spoiler, rear diffuser, and tailpipes; interior garnish such as carbon fiber trim pieces, carbon gear shift, Alcantara steering wheel, and side sills; and performance parts like chip tuning, sport air filters, and Akrapovic exhaust system, as well as larger M wheels and tires.
The full range of M Performance-equipped BMWs will on display at the Essen Motor Show later this year.
