BMW 6 Series Facelift at Detroit Motor Show

BMW is spending a rather quiet Detroit Motor Show this year. The biggest highlight of their booth is the new BMW 6 Series Facelift family, and even that is not very interesting since the changes are so subtle, most people won’t even notice them.

Still, you don’t need an excuse to view some images of the gorgeous 6er, especially in the amazing Gran Coupe form, especially in a unique color like Austin Yellow. The GC was only one of the BMW 6 Series Facelift models on display at NAIAS. They have also brought along the 650i Convertible and the M6 Coupe, all of them tarted up with BMW Individual features and options.

As for the new stuff added to the 6 Series for the new year, a slightly revised front bumper can be mentioned as the biggest change, along with updated grilles, lights, and a few tweaks inside the cabin. The mechanicals remain largely intact as well, meaning the 650i and M6 models still share that brilliant 4.4 liter V8 unit. In the latter the engine boasts higher turbo boost and makes 560 horsepower, whereas the former is tuned more for economy and produces around 360.

Also on display at BMW’s stand at NAIAS is a pristine example of the legendary BMW 3.0 CSL “Batmobile” race car.
