Mercedes-Maybach S-Class Priced from $189,350

Mercedes Maybach S Class 0 600x373 at Mercedes Maybach S Class Priced from $189,350

Mercedes-Benz announced the official pricing for the 2016 Mercedes-Maybach S-Class in the United States. Now, we were expecting the new Maybach to cost more than the Aston Martin Rapide and Rolls-Royce Ghost put together, but it doesn’t! In fact, it starts from just $189,350, plus a $925 destination charge.

Granted, that is still a lot of money, and yes, by the time you are finished with the options list that 190 grand is more like 250. But still, that sounds like a reasonable starting price for a car with the Maybach badge on it. Either that, or the previous Maybachs were severely overpriced.

It does make sense though, Mercedes pricing the new Maybach like this, since as the 2016 Mercedes-Maybach S-Class is exactly wheat it says no the tin: an S-Class. Maybach is now more like a trim grade for the S-Class sedan. Looking at it like that, it actually kind of seems expensive.

At any rate, What you get with the new Mercedes-Maybach S-Class is a whole lotta luxury and power. It is powered by a V12 bi-turbo engine developing 52 3hp and 612 lb-ft of torque, and as for the options, it comes with Driver Assistance Package (Intelligent Drive), MAGIC BODY CONTROL, Night View Assist PLUS, a Warmth and Comfort Package with a heated windshield, Head-Up Display, LED Intelligent Lighting System, Burmester High-End 3D Surround Sound System, Executive Rear Seat Package, Rear Seat Entertainment System and the Air Balance Package.
