Car buyers these days want variety, which is why the business of departments like AMG Sports and BMW M Performance are booming. The latter has just introduced the BMW 2 Series Convertible M Performance, equipped with a collection of specifically tailored parts for the baby Bimmer.
On the styling front, BMW 2 Series Convertible M Performance comes with blacked-out kidney grille, M side skirts, rear diffuser, carbon mirror caps, and M decals and logos. Weirdly, you don’t get a front spoiler. Two sets of M-designed 19-inch wheels are also available.
As for the interior, the main highlights include sports shifter garnished with Alcantara, carious carbon fiber trim pieces on the dash, consoles, door panels and armrests, M pedals and unique floor mats, as well as the all-important Alcantara-wrapped steering wheel with Race display.
BMW 2 Series Convertible M Performance also benefits from a performance upgrade kit, but as usual, it is only available for the weakest engine in the range, which is the 220d. The kit is good for an extra 15 PS, bringing the total output of the engine to 205 PS, and reducing its 0-100 km/h time by 0.3 seconds.
