Lotus Exige S Club Racer 600x387 at Official: Lotus Exige S Club Racer

Following the launch of the Elise 20th Anniversary Edition, Lotus has now announced a new Club Racer model based on the Exige S. Those with no particular fondness for sports car may not notice any difference between the Lotus Exige S Club Racer and the Elise, but, put simply, this one’s a lot hotter!

Weighing 15 kg lighter than the standard model, Lotus Exige S Club Racer is powered by a 3.5-litre supercharged V6 engine that gives it blistering performance: 4.0 seconds 0-62mph and top speed of 274 km/h (170 mph). But an Exige, and a Club Racer one at that, is more about the driving experience than outright performance.

The 1161 kg sports car comes with a bespoke aero kit, consisting of front splitter, rear wing and flat underside, which generates 42 kg of downforce at 100 mph (160 km/h). Lotus Exige S Club Racer also gets new lightweight battery, lightweight centre console in body colour, lighter doors and lightweight sports seats in leather or Alcantara with colour coded stitching.

Other highlights of this model include Club Racer decals inside on the dashboard and seats and outside above the side indicator, matte black aero parts, and special colors like Metallic White, Exige Orange, Metallic Yellow and Matt Black. Pricing for Club Racer starts from £56,900.
