Techno Classica Essen is the biggest and finest annual classic car event in Europe. Brabus found this place the ideal venue for showcasing what their Classic department is capable of by putting on display a collection of beautifully restored classic Mercedes SL models.
Brabus Mercedes SL Collection at Techno Classica includes four of the finest members of this highly distinguished family. It begins with the 300 SL Gullwing, which is the Godfather of all SLs, and continues with eh 300 SL Roadster, which is considered the first true SL, the famous 280 SL Pagoda, and the SL 280 R129, the first of the modern SL Class.
The white 300 SL Gullwing with the red interior is obviously the most valuable member of Brabus Mercedes SL Collection, but it’s not our favorite. Nor is that red Roadster. We love a classic car you can use everyday, enjoying the amazing looks without having to worrying too much about the cost of the thing, or putting up with mechanical issues.
As a result, our pick from the glorious Brabus Mercedes SL family is the 280 SL Pagoda. At 250K Euro apiece, the Pagoda is hardly cheap. But can daily drive this car if you want to and enjoy not just the timeless styling, but also comfort and convenience of a superb drop-top cruiser.
