One of the cars Hennessey Performance is most famous for is their 1,000-hp Cadillac CTS-V Wagon which John Hennessey, the owner of the firm, uses as daily driver. That is why the announcement of the new Hennessey Cadillac CTS-V HPE1000 is kind of a big deal. This is going to be one of the fastest four-door cars in the world.

Before we tell what Hennessey is planning for the new CTS-V, we should remind you that the standard version is by no means a slouch, packing a 6.2 liter supercharged V8 engine with 640 bhp and 630 lb-ft of torque, and the ability to reach 200 mph (322 km/h).

What Hennessey Cadillac CTS-V proposes is adding two turbochargers to the engine (in addition to the factory-standard supercharger) and upgrading other components accordingly. This way they are confident they can easily get over 1,000 horsepower out of the engine, and use it to make the car do 240 mph (380 km/h). They will also offer a “diet” version of this kit with 750-800 hp.

Hennessey Cadillac CTS-V 2016 will also benefit from, in HPE’s own words “ full compliment of performance upgrades including carbon-ceramic brakes, larger wheels and tires, widebody upgrade allowing for wider tires as well as custom interior upgrades.”
