BMW’s concept car for this year’s Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este is a good one. It is called the BMW 3.0 CSL Hommage which couldn’t have been more revealing as to what it is all about. This is a rendering what the Hommage will look like, and it is more than just a flight of fancy.
This is, actually, the real deal. You see, BMW has already released a partially revealing picture of the BMW 3.0 CSL Hommage. What designer Evren Milano has done is take and fill in the blanks, so to speak, and turn it into a full fledged car. So this is indeed what the Hommage, at least from the back, looks like.
And it’s pretty damn hot! A modern interpretation of the old 3.0 CSL ‘Batmobile’ was always going to look dope, of course, but they have done an especially great job of exaggerating the good features of the classic car in the new concept – features like those iconic wide fenders and the absolutely marvelous rear spoiler which is actually once piece with the rear fender.
BMW 3.0 CSL Hommage will be revealed in full prior to its official debut at Villa d’Este in the vicinity of Lake Como. So, watch this space!
