BMW is bringing back the ZHP badge, first used on a performance package for the 2003-2006 E46 3 Series, for a special version of the 4 Series. The 2016 BMW 435i ZHP Edition is essentially a factory tuned 4er with all the goodies hard-core M enthusiasts like to put on their cars after delivery already installed.
The main highlights of BMW 435i ZHP Edition include a Track Handling Package that adds 18” Orbit Grey V-Spoke Wheels, M Sport Brakes, and Adaptive M Suspension with variable damper technology as well as Variable Sport Steering. These high-end chassis features work in tandem with mechanical Limited Slip Differential to provide extra traction and sweet handling.
The engineers have not just made the BMW 435i ZHP Edition corner better, they have also taken care of its outright performance. The output of the straight-six engine in the 435i is increased in this edition to 335 horsepower and 332 lb-ft. That my not sound like that big an improvement, but combined with the other upgrades it slashes 2 seconds off the ZHP’s 0-60 time compared to a normal 435i.
Other features of the BMW 435i ZHP that contribute to its superior look and feel include a stainless-steel M performance Exhaust that sheds 8.8 pounds of weight, M Performance Rocker Panel Decals, a carbon aero kit consisting of front and rear spoiler, and the M sport visual package.
