It took designer X-Tomi less than a day to create an AMG version of the new Mercedes GLC using cues from existing models. The Mercedes GLC 63 AMG he is proposing features the bumpers and aero parts of the new GLE family, and it looks pretty dope.

The standard GLC, to be brutally honest, is a bit of a nothing to look at. There is nothing wrong with it, but there is also nothing to stir things up in your imagination, or indeed in your pants. The car is just so incredibly bland, we’ve already forgotten how it looks!

That is not the case with Mercedes GLC 63 AMG, at least the version rendered by Tomi here. That huge gaping mouth give the car a purposeful and powerful look and those large wheels and running boards – and presumably rear diffuser and roof spoiler – make it look athletic and exciting. It’s a job well done, this is.

As for the engine that would power the real Mercedes GLC 63 AMG when it launches, the most likely option would be the 2.0 liter AMG turbo four-pot out of the GLA 45. But we would love to see an AMG version of the new 3.0 liter V6 Mercedes uses in the 400 models.
