A lot sooner than expected, the first pictures of the Lamborghini Aventador SV Roadster, the open-top version of the new SuperVeloce, hit the web. The car was confirmed by the Lambo’s boss only a couple of weeks ago, and now here it is in all its glory.
So thanks to someone’s lack of integrity and trustworthiness we get to see Lamborghini Aventador SV Roadster ahead of schedule. Not that it’s a very big deal really, because this car is an Aventador Roadster with the SV body kit – nothing we haven’t seen before.
Still, when you look at the Lamborghini Aventador SV Roadster in its Blu Glauco paint job, black wheels, and red accents around the aero kit, you can’t help but admire those insane looks. The car features the same removable carbon fiber roof arrangement as the normal models, but it is lighter thanks to the SuperVeloce treatment.
The 2017 Lamborghini Aventador SV Roadster is lighter and also more powerful than its “ordinary” counterpart. The 6.5-liter V12 is boosted to developed 750 horsepower and nearly 700 Nm of torque, still delivered to all four wheels via a single-clutch transmission which Lambo insists suits this car better than a dual-clutch.
Production of this model will be limited to 500 units and it will cost, if the coupe is any indication, well over half a million dollars.
