Honda of America unveiled today a new and thoroughly updated version of the Accord sedan for the U.S. market. More dynamic, Acura-inspired styling, Honda Sensing safety and driver-assistive systems, and new infotainment with integrated Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are some of the main highlights of 2016 Honda Accord.

Styling-wise, the first thing you notice about the 2016 Honda Accord is the bold new face with a fancy grille and cool LED headlights, the combination of which reminds us of certain Acura models. The same sort of changes have happened at the back where you get a sportier bumper and new taillights. New wheel designs, up to 19 inch in size, are also available.

As mentioned, inside the refreshed cabin of 2016 Honda Accord you will find a new 7.7-inch touchscreen media center with the world’s first mass-produced application of both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto smartphone integration systems. Depending on the trim level, you get more standard equipment as well, such as SiriusXM satellite radio and Homelink remote, 60/40 split and folding rear seat, heated rear seats, front and rear parking sensors and rain-sensing wipers.

As for the powertrain, the 2016 Accord launches in America with two options, including a 2.4-liter inline i-VTEC 4-cylinder and a 3.5-liter VTEC V-6. The former can be paired with either a manual or a CVT transmission, while the latter get either a manual or a 6-speed automatic.
