Following numerous teasers and leaks we finally get to see the all-new 2016 Kia Sportage in its full glory in these first official photos. The car is all set for its global debut at the Frankfurt International Motor Show on 15 September 2015, boasting a dynamic new look and upgraded features.
One of the most popular Kia models of recent years, the Sportage is the definitive Korean crossover which represents incredibly good value by being fairly affordable and yet very well appointed in terms of equipment, refinement and performance. In the new version the company has tried to retain all the good stuff while increasing the joie de vivre of its looks.
So the 2016 Kia Sportage gets a strong and purposeful new face with all-new headlights, inspired by the 2013 Kia Provo concept car, and a new rendition of Kia’s tiger nose grille. The car also features sharply-detailed bonnet and bolder wheel arches as well as longer front overhangs, shorter rear overhangs and longer wheelbase. These design characteristics gives the Sportage an overall more muscular, more premium look.
Technical details and specifications of the new Sportage are yet to be released, but most likely the engine lineup will be the same as the current generation.
