Tuned exotic cars are a rare sight out in the wild, and the rarest of them all are products of German tuner AC Schnitzer. Their cars have a unique styling that is instantly recognizable, which is how we know we haven’t seen too many of them out there. Now though an AC Schnitzer BMW i8 was caught getting some sun somewhere outside Dordrecht, Netherlands.

Looking at these pictures of AC Schnitzer BMW i8 you can clearly see what we mean by unique styling. The design AC’s body kit, wheels, even the paint jobs they use, is unlike anything else you encounter. Sometimes this uniqueness ends up ruining the car to which the treatment is given, but often, as in the case of this i8, the end result looks absolutely brilliant.

We can honestly say that AC Schnitzer BMW i8 is the coolest looking version of the hybrid sports car we’ve seen to date. The matte white example by Savini is a close second, but that’s not really a tuner car. AC’s i8 benefits from a range of upgrade parts, from aero parts, to new wheels, to sport suspension, and interior mods.

In terms of paint work, the owner of this car has gone for metallic black, accented with BMW i sky blue which is found not just where it’s supposed to be found, i.e. the front grille and front and rear fascia, but also on the aftermarket Asanti wheels. We are also digging that rear spoiler very much.
