Bugatti Vision Gran Turismo Concept 600x337 at IAA Preview: Bugatti Vision Gran Turismo Concept

This weird thing you see above is supposed to clue you in as to what the new Bugatti Vision Gran Turismo Concept looks like, although it looks more like a sledge or something. The important thing is, Bugatti is joining the Vision Gran Turismo movement and that is cause for celebration.

Pitched as a fantasy product of a higher level that you normally see in video games, Bugatti Vision Gran Turismo gives an outlook of firm’s new form and design language. They are probably going to use the unveiling of this concept at IAA as an opportunity to tease the launch of the upcoming Chiron, but hopefully that car will have fewer holes in it. No further details have been revealed at this stage on the technical specs of Bugatti’s VGT concept.

“With the Bugatti Vision Gran Turismo we have not developed a fantasy product of the type which is normally seen in this category of the game,” explains Achim Anscheidt, head of the Bugatti design team. “We had the clear goal of developing a vehicle which could also be driven on a real race circuit if it left the virtual world. ‘Bugatti Vision Gran Turismo’ stands for authenticity.”

“Bugatti’s design DNA has reached a new stage in its evolution,” Anscheidt announces. “In view of the nature of the project, our concept car for ‘Vision Gran Turismo’ will be exaggerated and extremely performance-oriented. Even so, the progressive design language will give an impressive demonstration of the path to be taken by Bugatti design over the next few years.”
