There are a couple of new Mercedes-Benz models we are waiting for to make debut at the 2015 IAA. One is the new C63 AMG Coupe and the other the S-Class Cabriolet. Now, mixing these two, X-Tomi Design has come up with a third model of his own which is arguably more interesting than both. Meet the Mercedes C-Class Cabrio.
Inspired by the S-Class Cabrio and rendered based on the new C-Class, Tomi’s Mercedes C-Class Cabrio proposes a virtual successor to what we used to call in the olden days the CLK. That car slotted between the SLK and the SL, offering something more luxurious and less sporty for those who preferred a more relaxing kind of alfresco motoring.
Mercedes C-Class Cabrio is also a four-seater drop-top, like the S-Class Cabrio, but it’s a tight fit back there and the rear seats are in practice completely useless. But the thing looks sort of majestic and, dare we say it, sexy. We honestly prefer this model to both the current SL and SLK, and also the E-Cabrio.
Good news is, Mercedes-Benz might have something very similar to this rendering in the works right now. If they promise they will make a 63 AMG version of the C-Cabrio, we start saving this very instant!
