One of the perks of a being a kickass car journalist is that you get invited to prestigious events like RM Auctions London and even get a backstage pass so you can have a look around the garage and check out the cars before they go on sale. Chris Harris has gone one better than that, securing some seat time in one of the stars of the auction, a Bugatti EB110 SS.
Driving this awesome Bugatti EB110 SS may have seemed like the right thing to do for Chris at the time, but it wasn’t because after he was done with this car he was totally ruined. Chris now wants one of these quite badly. And you certainly can’t afford an EB110 on a car journalist’s income. Maybe if Chris lands a job in the new Top Gear…
Bugatti EB110 SS is powered by a compact quad-turbo V12 engine with unique behaviors and an output of 600 horsepower. It is nowhere near as sophisticated as its grandchild, the Veyron, boasting a manual gearbox and not much in the way of electronic aids. Despite that, the EB can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in just over 3 seconds and reach a top speed of 220 mph. It has no problem rivaling today’s hyper cars.
