In preparation for the release of Forza Motorsport 6 on September 15, 2015, Xbox released a special Forza 6 Forza 6 highlighting some of the coolest cars and tracks you’ll get to enjoy in the game. This teaser alone is enough, in our opinion, to sell gamers and car lovers on the new game. It is that great.
While the trailer is undoubtedly awesome, we’re not sure we like Forza 6 itself that much. Make no mistake, the game is a work of art with 460 cars, 70 hour career mode, and wet weather and night racing. It’s been named ‘Best Racing Game’ and ‘Best Simulation Game’ at Gamescom 2015.
The thing is though, it’s all about racing and realistic crashes. You get all those amazing cars, but all you can do with them is race, race, race. What if you want to take one of those cars for a nice cruise? That, I’m afraid, is not possible. Forza’s world is limited to a number of select race tracks.
Guess we’re going to have to wait for Ubisoft to release a new version of Driver. These guys give you an entire city to explore and their cars tend to oversteer all the time. That is more fun than racing in our book.
