Mercedes-Benz was in a bit of a hurry to introduce the new Mercedes-AMG C63 Coupe back to back with the standard version, even though neither of them will actually hit the market until late next year. So it’s not getting ahead of ourselves to start speculating about the next Mercedes C63 AMG Black Series.
And that’s exactly what the designers at Indav Design have been up to, penning this superb 2018 Mercedes C63 AMG Black Series based on the recently introduced C63 Coupe. Modeled, naturally, on the current Black Series C63, this virtual version features massive AMG bumpers with carbon splitter and flaps, side aero blades, and a large rear wing.
But as always with the Black Series Mercedes models, it’s what’s underneath that is most enticing. The normal version of the new C63 Coupe features a 510 horsepower 4.0 liter bi-turbo V8. Chances are the Black Series will retain the engine, but the output will be boosted to over 550 horsepower. The car will also be lighter and sharper, and undoubtedly faster.
There is just one thing we would like to see AMG add to all future Black Series models, not just the C63, and that’s a tolerable ride. There is no need for these cars to be so harsh.
