In an effort to introduce the macho Challenger to a whole class, Dodge has come up with a new concept version of the car at this year’s SEMA show. The heavily tricked-out Dodge Challenger GT AWD is a thoroughly improved version of the muscle car. It’s like a Harvard-educated thug!

In spite of its sophisticated new drivetrain, Dodge Challenger GT AWD is still an unmistakably brutish muscle car boasting a Mopar wide body kit, 20-inch wheels, and Header Orange highlights to line the grille and taillight surround of the Destroyer Grey body. The body kit itself is fairly prominent, consisting of front chin splitter and rear spoiler, and satin black exhaust tips and fuel filler cap.

The interior has been upgraded as well, featuring Katzkin leather seats, center console, shifter boot and side panels, as well as suede accents, a flat-bottom steering wheel, and Mopar door sills.

The best part of Dodge Challenger GT AWD though is what’s under the bonnet. It’s a 5.7-liter HEMI with Scat Pack 3 Performance Kit including Mopar cylinder heads, Mopar hi-flow manifolds and hi-flow catalysts for an additional 75 horsepower and 44 lb.-ft. of torque. It sends its power to all four wheels via an eight-speed transmission.
