Volkswagen announced the launch of two new ‘Black’ special edition versions of the popular Scirocco in the UK market. Available to order right now, the Volkswagen Scirocco Black Edition comes in GT and R-Line guises, boasting cool looks and incredible value.
Those are not values that would usually team up, but VW is good at this sort of things. This, and cheating their way out of emission tests, of course. At any rate, the 2016 Volkswagen Scirocco Black Edition models get as standard a number of visual tweaks including black painted alloy wheels, a black painted contrast roof, door mirrors and rear spoiler, and 90% tinted rear windows.
The Scirocco GT Black Edition gets 18-inch Black Lisbon alloy wheels, while the R-Line Black Edition gets 19-inch Black Lugano alloys. They complement other highlights such as LED tail light design, front bumper with aerodynamic ‘blades’ in the outer section and, inside, a dashboard containing an auxiliary instrument cluster above the centre console consisting of chronometer, charge pressure and oil temperature gauges.
Starting from £23,135, Volkswagen Scirocco Black Edition, in both GT and R-Line trim, can be had a 1.4-litre 125 PS or a 2.0-litre 180 PS, plus a 2.0 liter diesel with either 150 PS or 184 PS.
