If you are one of those who people who are at BMW for not making an M7, you can now rest a tad easier as they are going to soon unveil a car that is practically an M7, but is called the new Alpina B7. They have released a teaser video introducing the forthcoming arrival.
As is often the case with these teaser, details are very scarce. But those with a trained eye for Alpina products will be quick to spot the chunky front spoiler lip, distinctive LED lights, and other aero parts exclusive to these cars. We can’t say for sure Alpina B7 will be a looker, but it will certainly look incredibly cool. All Alpinas do.
As for the powertrain, again, official details are not available at this moment. But it doesn’t take a genius to tell Alpina B7 will get a tuned version of BMW’s 4.4 liter bi-turbo V8 engine. They are not going to put a straight-six in this huge car, and a V12 is also out of the question on account of it not making much sense in a sports sedan. If we were to has it a guess what kind of horsepower that engine will produce in the B7, we’d say about the same as an M5, which is 560 hp.
