The new-look Mercedes E-Class will soon be revealed in all its glory at the 2016 Detroit Motor Show. But as we showed you yesterday, the first official images of the car have already hit the web. And now based on those the first rendering of the 2017 Mercedes-AMG E63 sedan has emerged.

Now, if you think this look way too much like the current E63 AMG, that’s not really the designer’s fault, as the new model just looks that way. Also, if you are thinking this must be a C63 AMG, again, do not blame the designer, as the new E-Class just looks like a slightly bigger C-Class.

You can look at the Mercedes-AMG E63 – if it indeed looks anything like this rendering – in two ways. On one hand, the car is plain dull and boring and completely uninteresting to behold. On the other, it has that whole wolf in sheep’s clothing going on, hiding its fierce nature underneath a veil of bland of styling.

One thing you the next Mercedes-AMG E63 won’t be having any issues with is power. The current C63 gets a 510 horsepower V8, so it is only natural for the E63 to pack something around 580.
