If you are not familiar with Mansory Gronos, it’s the tuner’s upgrade program for the Mercedes G-Class (all variants of it) and it is widely acknowledged as one of the best. At the 2016 Geneva Motor Show Mansory unveiled a Facelift version of this car with even more joie de vivre than before.
The Mansory Gronos Facelift comes with new carbon aerodynamic parts including significantly wider fenders complete with large side skirts, adding a full 40 millimetres to the length of the vehicle. The revised front and rear profiles get new headlights, off-road bumpers and new carbon detailing. Complementing the looks is a set of distinctive 22 inches XXL wheels and a hand-applied leather interior treatment.
What really sets the new Mansory Gronos apart, however, is performance package including a newly designed exhaust system, from the manifold to the stainless steel double end pipes which boosts the power out of the AMG 5.5 liter bi-turbo V8 from 540 horsepower to a massive 840 hp and a maximum torque of (electronically limited) 1,150 Nm. That ought to make off roading with this car a lot more fun.
