Manual V12 Vantage S 0 600x356 at Manual Aston Martin V12 Vantage S Revealed

While most other manufacturers are trying steer clear of the manual gearbox, Aston Martin is trying to make it a thing again by offering it on some of their most high-end models. The latest to get a manual is the Aston Martin V12 Vantage S, which makes this car the only new manual V12 car you can buy.

The manual Aston Martin V12 Vantage S is aimed as those people who mourn the death of the gear stick and the clutch pedal, and is deliberately designed to make them feel nostalgic what with its ‘dog-leg’ first gear. Mind you, there is nothing retro about the way it works. The ‘box has seven speeds in it features AMSHIFT which uses some sensors and stuff to mimic heel-and-toe downshifts by blipping the engine at the exact right time.

Manual Aston Martin V12 Vantage S is not different from the automatic in any other sense including the price, since the manual is a no-cost option. They share the same 6.0 liter V12 engine, chassis and brake systems, and Aston claims they have identical performance figures as well with a 0-60 mph time of 3.9 seconds and a top speed of  205mph. You can order this car with a new Sport-Plus Pack option which includes new colored accents and fancier wheels on the outside and grey upholstery with stripes and contrast stitching on the inside.
