In an effort to boost the appeal of their fastest-selling SUV and keep it fresh for another year or so, Land Rover announced the launch of a new special edition Evoque. Called the 2017 Range Rover Evoque Ember Special Edition and priced from £47,200, the new model comes with exclusive visual features and new equipment.
On the styling front, Range Rover Evoque Ember Edition features a red and black theme consisting of Firenze Red roof and accents on Santorini Black body. There’s also front and rear tow eye covers, special badging in Narvik Black with silver surround, Satin Black 20-inch alloy wheels, Dynamic black exhaust finishers, Dynamic Narvik Black grille and darkened front and rear lights.
These changes combine to give Range Rover Evoque Ember a pretty unique and sporty look. The theme continues inside with Ebony Black seats, contrasting Pimento Red stitching, black and red premium carpet mats and Gloss Black trim finishes. The cabin is also where you find the controls for the new InControl Touch Pro infotainment system. Standard on some 2017 trim grades, the touchscreen is basically like a giant smartphone.
The new InControl features a 21:9 super-wide screen with 1280×542 pixel resolution and has the swipe, pan and pinch to zoom controls of a smartphone. The fact that pinching and zooming could be quite distracting and a pain to use while driving notwithstanding, the system offers pretty decent connectivity, navigation and app capabilities.
