Japanese tuner Aimgain was one of the first shops to modify the new Mazda MX-5 roadster, and they decided to cut to the chase and came up with a full wide body aero package for the little car. This is, then, about as visually extreme as the MX-5 can get.
Mazda MX-5 looks pretty naughty as it is, what with the retro two-seat soft-top design which seems to have a little bit of Jaguar F-Type in it. With the Aimgain wide body kit on, the roadster turns into what can only be described as the automotive equivalent of Bart Simpson – a delinquent, but a very likable delinquent.
Aimgain Mazda MX-5 Wide Body boasts a rather simple aero package including a front under spoiler, rear diffuser, side skirts, and front and rear over fenders which are bolted onto the body in Liberty Walk style, plus a trunk spoiler. There are carbon fiber exhaust tips should you fancy them and a wide range of fancy wheels to go with the slammed suspension and the wide fenders.
Aimgain does not mention a power kit for the Mazda MX-5, but if you get the 2.0 liter 155-hp SKYACTIV engine you aren’t going to need any. That engine has just enough power to make driving this bad boy an absolute hoot.
