It is not exactly a secret that we don’t like the look of the R231 Mercedes SL. Okay, we freakin’ hate it. But we have just come across a styling treatment that might be the cure for the car’s peculiarity of countenance. Meet the incredibly dope MEC Design Mercedes SL63 AMG.

This is, of course, not the first time MEC Design has worked on the R231 Mercedes SL. It’s not even that new. But still, we reckon this is as best as you can make this SL look like short of a major makeover. That’s the cool thing about MEC Design Mercedes SL63 AMG. It improves the looks without resorting to extreme solution.

The ingredients of MEC Design Mercedes SL63 AMG are a few simple elements. First, we have the 20-inch MEC Typ CCd5 wheels in matte black. These alone work wonders for the SL. Then there’s the  ELS lowering module that makes those rims look awesome inside the car’s sizable fenders. As a finishing touch, you also get MEC Design carbon fibre diffuser and rear spoiler.

The SL63 is powered by a 5.5 liter bi-turbo V8 with 580 horsepower and it sounds pretty fantastic as well. Still, MEC Design offers a full exhaust system that takes the whole thing to the next level. So make sure to get that as well.
