Mercedes AMG GT R Shows Some Skin in New Teasers

AMG GT R Jungle 0 600x329 at Mercedes AMG GT R Shows Some Skin in New Teasers

The teaser campaign for the new Mercedes AMG GT R continues with daily photos and videos. We’re still in the jungle tracking down this Beast of the Green Hell, and we have Lewis Hamilton to guide us in this quest. Up until now it’s been the noise of the beast leading us to its lair, but we’ve gotten close enough to get a glimpse of the creature itself.

Yep, it’s green… so very green!

Although we’re not sure we would want to be seen in a bright green Mercedes-Benz, what we know so far about the Mercedes AMG GT R has got our engines revving excitedly. The R is a tarted-up, hunkered-down, lightened and stiffened version of the regular AMG GT with at least 70 more horsepower and sharper handling thanks to a new Nurburgring-tuned chassis. Obviously, the car is a track-focused model designed to take on the popular choices in this segment such as the Porsche GT3. But as it has always been the case with Mercedes track-focused cars the GT R won’t be devoid of all creature comforts.

Stay tuned for more teasers and previews in the run up to the car’s debut at the Goodwood Festival of speed later this week.
