German tuner all things BMW Group, AC Schnitzer, has come up with a thorough upgrade package for the latest generation of MINI Cooper. Shown here in convertible guise, the package can also be ordered for the hardtop and also the Clubman, boosting the visual appeal of the vehicle as well as its performance.

On the styling front, AC Schnitzer MINI offers their own front and rear aprons with add-on spoiler and diffuser units, and of course a set of their own wheels with the 19 inch AC1 BiColor or Anthracite models being the one they recommend. Also contributing to the looks and also the performance of the MINI is the AC Schnitzer suspension spring kit which results in a lowering of 30mm without any loss of comfort.

As for the performance, the new AC Schnitzer MINI gets a nice and round treatment for all the engines in the range. In this program the MINI Cooper gets a boost from 136 HP to 170 HP, while Cooper S jumps to 235 HP from the stadnard 192 HP and MINI JCW develops 265 HP instead of 231. The performance upgrade kit includes a power module as well as AC’s own sport exhaust system which consist of a back box and two “Sport” or “Sport Black” tailpipes positioned centrally.
