Proceeding with German patience and steadfastness, G-Power keeps upgrading their range of high-powered known as Typhoon. After a bunch of 600-hp models they came up with a 725-hp G-Power BMW X5M Typhoon and a similar X6M followed. So when they launched a 750-hp X6M, it was only a matter of time before we got an X5M Typhoon with the same amount of power.
And here it is, boasting not only the full-fat power package but also new wide body styling kit a little too flashy than what we’re used to from this tuner. The latest G-Power BMW X5M Typhoon features a carbon bonnet with “Venturi based ‘Dynamic Venting’ system” and new air intakes in the front aprons, plus wider front wheel arches, side skirts, new rear valance and four 102 mm diameter tailpipes connected to a titanium sport exhaust system. Rounding up the visual mods is a set of 23 inch HURRICANE RR alloys.
But the meat of this G-Power BMW X5M Typhoon package, as always, remains the power kit. The 4.4 liter bi turbo V8 engine under that carbon bonnet has received modified turbocharger housing complete with larger and more efficient compressor wheels, more efficient exhaust turbine wheel on each sides, and stainless steel downpipes leading to the titanium exhaust mentioned above. Topping it all off is G-Power’s Bi-Tronik 2 V3 engine control software which utilizes those parts to pump out 750 hp (551 kW) and 980 Nm of torque.
