As mentioned, BMW 740Le xDrive iPerformance is a hybrid car powered by a four-cylinder gasoline engine with BMW TwinPower Turbo technology and an electrical machine integrated into the 8-speed Steptronic transmission. This system generates a very respectable 322 horsepower and, more importantly, combined fuel economy ratings of 64 MPGe and an all-electric range of 14 mile during which it can reach 75 mph. Performance-wise, the car accelerates from 0 to 60 mph in just 5.1 seconds and the top speed is electronically limited to 155 mph.
