It seems like BMW Abu Dhabi has a thing for Twilight Purple, a deep and rich shade of purple from BMW’s Individual palette. So after showing us a 760 and an M3 in this color, they are now presenting this Twilight Purple BMW i8, which is of course the coolest of the lot.

The serious color featured on the Twilight Purple BMW i8 suits the fairly aggressive and no-nonsense look of the car and reinforces its uniqueness. It also helps that all the usual ‘i’ blue accents and details are eliminated from the exterior, although you still see a fair bit of them inside the cabin.

As is always the case with the unique Bimmers at the Abu Dhabi showroom, the Twilight Purple BMW i8 is equipped with an AC Schnitzer carbon aero kit and a set of their finest wheels. The kit includes a large carbon front splitter with extended side flaps, side skirts, modified rear diffuser and a fixed rear wing on the boot. It definitely adds to the whole aura of the car, but the paint job does kind of make the kit obscure, especially around the front.

This is by no means the world’s most unique BMW i8. We have seen crazier examples of the car here at the Abu Dhabi showroom. But the Twilight Purple could well be the world’s most exquisite i8.
