AMG is only now recognizing the innate beauty of the color green and have come up with a special shade of it called the AMG green hell magno for the GT R super car. But the owner of an old Mercedes GL63 AMG had had the foresight when he ordered his car to have it in green, knowing that it’s only a matter of time before that color become fashionable.
What’s more, he went ahead and painted the wheels on this Mercedes GL63 AMG green as well, thus creating what must be the world’s only green on green GL… or green on green anything, for that matter. It is a unique look though, and one we find quite cool in spite of the fact that it is somewhat showoff-y. The huge SUV does work with this especially dark shade of green, although we can’t help but think it would have looked better with matte black wheels.
The Mercedes GL63 AMG, replaced now by the new GLS Class, packs a 5.5-litre V8 biturbo engine, which develops a peak output of 410 kW (557 hp) and maximum torque of 760 Nm. The SUV comes as standard with AMG RIDE CONTROL sports suspension with ACTIVE CURVE SYSTEM roll stabilization, AMG SPEEDSHIFT PLUS 7G-TRONIC and all wheel drive, and is capable of doing the 0 to 100 km/h sprint in 4.9 seconds and reach a top speed of 250 km/h (electronically limited).
