When Lotus makes special editions they take a different approach than all other car makers. While the others look for ways to add extra garnish to their SE models, the British sports car maker seeks ways of removing excess. That is certainly the case with the new Lotus Exige 350 Special Edition.
Mind you, since the Exige is already as lean and thin as a supermodel in her prime, they have only managed to shave 26 kg off of the weight of the car for the Lotus Exige 350 Special Edition. But that reduction combined with the car’s 345 supercharged horsepower gives it a serious turn of speed with a 0 to 60 mph time of 3.7 seconds and a top speed of 170 mph (274 km/h).
But Lotus Exige 350 Special Edition is not all about handling and performance and giving you a cornering boner. The car also features exclusive interior and exterior appointments which make it appealing to those looking for a unique sports car. It gets a revised front access panel cover, lightweight carbon-fibre sports seats, lightweight forged alloy wheels, Lithium ion battery, black leather or Alcantara upholstery with bespoke contrast stitching, cruise control and floor mats as standard, in-car entertainment system with iPod connectivity and Bluetooth (optional) and four colors including Essex Blue, Old English White, Dark Metallic Grey, or Motorsport Black.
The special edition Exige is currently on sale priced from £61,900/€81,900/¥11,690,000.
