So yesterday we brought to you a nice gallery of the Lamborghini Aventador Miura edition and it has probably gotten some of you all revved up for about the Miura. Well, good news… if you are incredibly rich! There is now a pristine 1971 Lamborghini Miura P400 SV up for auction.

To be sold at RM Sotheby’s Arizona auction in January 2017, the Rosso Arancio 1971 Lamborghini Miura P400 SV with the period gold-colored sills and wheels is a late-model American-spec car with many upgrades compared to the earlier versions, chief among which “split-sump” lubrication system which is a lot more reliable than the single system the car used before and standard air condition, although a 70’s Lambo air con is not something you can rely on for doing much conditioning.

Boasting a 385 horsepower V12 engine with Weber twin-choke carburetors, five-speed manual transmission, independent front and rear suspension with A-arms, coil springs with tubular shocks, and anti-roll bars, and four-wheel hydraulic disc brakes, this Lamborghini Miura P400 SV has also been given a thorough cosmetic and mechanical restoration, with the interior reupholstered in the original leather, the paint work re-done in the original color, the brakes rebuilt, instruments fixed, fuel lines and gas tank replaced, and front suspension corrected.
