If you have been toying with the idea of getting a Mitsubishi Outlander you may want to hold on for a bit because at the New York Auto Show next week they will be unveiling a new 2018 Sport model. Not that it is very different from the 2017 model, but you do get some new features.
So among the highlights of the 2018 Mitsubishi Outlander Sport, which gets new exterior and interior enhancements as well as a new Touring Package, there are an innovative front and rear bumper design and LED running lights, a 7 inch Smartphone Link display audio system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a newly designed floor console and a new shift lever. Set to arrive in dealerships this fall the new crossover also gets a new exterior color, Alloy Silver.
As for the Touring Package, the extra kit you get includes a panoramic roof and advanced safety and technology features including Forward Collision Mitigation (FCM), Lane Departure Warning, Automatic High Beam (AHB), a rear camera and noise vibration harshness (NVH) improvements to make for a quieter ride. There may not be much sense in choosing the 2018 Mitsubishi Outlander over the 2017 for design, but the options and equipment could sway a potential buyer.
