Lamborghini Huracan Convoy Hits the Transfagarasan

You loyal fans of the old Top Gear will no doubt remember the name Transfagarasan from the boys’ Romanian adventure. This amazing piece of road was hailed by the trio as one of the best driving roads in the world. And a convoy of six Lamborghini Huracan decided to see that for themselves.

The mountain road looks absolute stunning and feels even greater to drive on. But the first thing that strikes you about the Transfagarasan is the facts and figures. A 90 km spaghetti of the most awesome corners and chicanes, the road passes through the land of Dracula in the Transylvania region of Romania. It climbs through the highest mountains and takes you from utter desolation to heavenly greenery in a matter of minutes. It is a place of paradoxes, the Transfagarasan.

The same applies to the road’s history. Built between 1970 and 1974 by order of dictator Nicolae Ceau?escu mainly for military purposes, the Transfagarasan is both a sour spot for the Romanians and something they can be immensely proud of. This stretch of tarmac has such magnificence and significance that the convoy of six Lamborghini Huracans, including All- and Rear-wheel-drive Coupes and Spyders, doesn’t look that impressive next to it.
