Look st that! Can you believe it’s a Hyundai?! and an economy sedan called Sonata?! When I first saw these images I thought it’s the new CLS! Of course these sketches Hyundai released as a sort of teaser before the unveiling are a bit too dramatic. We’ve already shown you the real thing, but you have to say, Hyundai has done a great job with this car.

The new generation Hyundai Sonata will be revealed this month, and will launch into the markets one after another in 2010 as a 2011 model. Based on the known facts, it will be as striking technologically, as it is visually! Like the old model it will be available with a four and a six cylinder engine, but they are much more refined and will be cleaner, more powerful and less thirsty.

More than that, you can expect a hybrid variant of the new Sonata to be added to the range in a year or so after its launch. It will also feature a bunch new luxury items way above the standards of the economy sedans market. After all, Hyundai has just took the Sonata brand into the next level and upgraded it to the sporty four-door coupes class! Crikey!
