Chrysler, reminiscing about the good old days, is going to bring back the classic Plum Crazy paint job for the 2010 Dodge Challenger R/T Classic and SRT8. Plum Crazy Pearl Coat is available with matte black or new bright white dual-wide R/T body-side stripes, boosting the Challenger’s classiness even further! The car itself has a retro design and this color will definitely gives it more appeal.

The Challenger R/T Classic is powered by a 5.7 liter HEMI V8 engine which chucks out 376 horsepower (280 kW) and 410 lb.-ft. of torque (556 nm). The Plum Crazy package adds the  performance-minded Track Pak with precision-shift “pistol-grip” shifter, anti-spin 3.92 differential and a performance-tuned dual exhaust with two low-restriction bottle resonators for a distinguishing roar. It does 0 to 60 in less than 6 seconds.

The Plum package is also available for the performance version of the Challenger, the SRT8. It’s powered by a 6.1-liter HEMI V8 engine with 425 horsepower and 420 lb.-ft. of torque and is equipped with performance-tuned ride and handling, sport braking system and race-inspired interior. The car features exterior-matching SRT performance seats with Plum Crazy accented stripe.

The U.S. Manufacturer’s Suggested Retail Price (MSRP) for the new 2010 Dodge Challenger R/T Classic in Plum Crazy Pearl Coat is $35,140, while the high-performance SRT8 model is $44,155 (both prices include $725 destination). Production will start in late November at the Brampton Assembly plant in Brampton, Ontario, Canada.
