The current generation of Toyota Yaris has been around for some years and the company is still reluctant to replace it a new model. But then why would they! This car is still one of the best selling small hatchbacks which offers a good amount of standard equipments, brilliant practicality and quality and nice engines. So for the new year, Toyota didn’t change the recipe and jut tweaked it a bit.

As always, you get decent features even with the very basic model, including seven airbags, mp3-capable audio system, power windows and split rear seats which also move forward and backward. the 2010 model comes with some optional extras you can order such as air condition, leather steering and gear knob.

Yaris’ visual updates are new colors, new door handles painted in matte silver, new alloy wheels with new wheel covers. And that’s about it!

The choice of engines for the Yaris include 1.0 and 1.3 liter VVT-i petrol engines and a 1.4 liter diesel. The 1.3 liter petrol which at 101 hp is the most powerful of the lot comes with the start/stop system and can be had with a six-speed automatic gearbox. The three-cylinder 1.0 liter has only 69 hp and is fitted with a five-speed manual. The diesel engine produces 90 hp and returns good fuel economy, 4.2 liters per 100 km.
