Porsche has launched new optional equipment packages for the Boxster and the Cockster Cayman in Germany. The Comfort, Infotainment, Design and Design Sport packages improves the looks of both models and add a number of new equipments but include no performance upgrade.

The Comfort packages gives you a significant price advantage as it comes with climate control, bi-xenon headlights including dynamic cornering lights, cruise control, automatically dipping interior and exterior mirrors, rain sensor, and – in combination with leather seats – embossed Porsche crest on the headrests.

The Infotainment includes the Porsche Communication Management (PCM) inclusive of navigation module, universal audio interface for connecting MP3 players and iPods ®, and the Sound Package Plus. This has the Boxster seven speakers and a total power of 185 watts, the Cayman nine speakers and 235 watts total output with CD stacker and Bluetooth mobile phone preparation.

So when you are done with those two equipment packages, it’s time for customizing the looks. Now you have the Design pack which includes very light 19-inch wheels from the Boxster Spyder with black lacquered rim-star, blackened twin tailpipes as well as other black parts such as the mirrors, the side air intakes, the panel-trim element and the model sign, and black roll bars. The Design Sport packages takes care of the aerodynamics and add a subtle body kit, with revised spoilers for the front and rear.
