Ford’s good-looking crossover Kuga has received an update in UK. Like all other upgrades these days, it’s all about better fuel economy and lower CO2 emissions. So the performance suffers, for example Kuga’s revised 2.0 liter diesel engine has only 4 more horsepower than the previous version!
2010 Ford Kuga gets an Individual trim for Titanium models, which includes Unique ‘Individual’ Front Grille, Body Coloured Side Skirts and Wheel Arches, 19″ Alloy Wheels, Roof Rails, Privacy Glass, Premium Ebony Leather, Scuff Plates and Floor Mats with ‘Individual’ Logo, Aluminium Pedals (manual transmission only), and High Gloss Black trim.
As for the engine, there’s a new 163PS 2.0-litre Duratorq TDCi with 20 percent more torque (340 Nm), which increases the car’s top speed from 112 to 121 mph and reduces the 0-62 mph acceleration time from 10.7 to 9.6 seconds. This unit has a combined fuel consumption of 47.1 mpg, with Co2 emissions of 159g/km.
The other option is a 140PS derivative of the new 2.0-litre Duratorq TDCi engine replacing the old 136PS version. This model can be had with 2WD, has a CO2 output of just 156g/km. Both models can be had with Ford PowerShift six-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission.
