Yes it’s the MP4 versus McLaren F1 GTR. Granted, it’s not much of a comparison test because one is modern, technical and well-engineered sportscar and the other a brutal, unforgiving, bonafide racer. But it’s a good way to see if any of the F1’s DNA, that made it one of the top five cars in the whole history of automotive, is found in the new boy. To find out Steve Sutcliffe took them both to Dunsfold Aerodrome, better known as Top Gear test track. Even if you think it’s irrelevant, just enjoy the amazing scenery of two magnificent machines driving about!

As a side note, we  wish McLaren could change the stupid name of the new car. MP4-12C, it’s a silly name!
