Porsche To Use KERS For Entire 911 Range

Porsche 911 at Porsche To Use KERS For Entire 911 Range

As it’s been the case with every new Porsche 911, while the design remains pretty much the same, the technology is all new. For the next 911 Porsche is going to take that to the next level.

The next generation Porsche 911 is reportedly going to use KERS for its entire range, as one of the new features. KERS or Kinetic Energy Recovery System in a high performance car restores the wasted energy of braking and convert it to electricity which then will be used to boost the performance. How KERS does all this is very technical and boring and to be honest we don’t really care. But it makes the car more efficient and that’s good.

This is a Formula 1-driven technology that has made its way to road cars as well. So a 911 with KERS would be great, but please can we also have a modern design as well?!
