Jaguar XKR S at Jaguar XKR S Convertible Los Angeles Debut Confirmed

Jaguar announced its plans for the 2011 Los Angeles Autoshow confirming debut of the XKR-S Convertible.

As the drop-top version of the hard-core version of the super-sport version of the XK, the XKR-S Convertible gets 550 PS courtesy of a supercharged V8 and the same aggressive body kit as the coupe. But we suspect it’ll look greater on the Convetible with the fabric roof. It would look even better with the top down of course.

The main upside however is that you can hear that V8’s amazing soundtrack even more clearly. That alone worth having the roof down all the time.

Jaguar will also show the award winning Jaguar C-X16 Production Concept, while Land Rover brings along its two design concepts, the DC100 (hard top) and DC100 Sport (open top) at the Show in new configurations emphasising their all-terrain capabilities.

Dr. Ralf Speth, CEO of Jaguar Land Rover commented: “Jaguar Land Rover is proud to be demonstrating for the U.S. market the latest design and technology advancements we have made with both brands, Our presence here reflects the fact that the U.S. is an important market for our global growth plans, and Southern California is a key region from a business and a global trends perspective.”
